Seduction By Light

SEDUCTION BY LIGHT Aurea is an advanced flatscreen TV that uses light to enhance the action on screen. The result is a more immersive and emotional television viewing experience. The closest you can get to experiencing Aurea, short of seeing it in person, is at www.philips.com/aurea. Philips and Tribal DDB created a site that demonstrates the 'Aurea effect' through a proprietary technology that simulates the television's lighting effect by using Flash. The site also features an original film by Won Kar-Wai, photography by Vincent Peters, and an original score by key members of the London Symphony Orchestra.

FILM BY WONG KAR-WAI. Philips and DDB commissioned famed Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai to create a short film that demonstrates how Aurea's revolutionary lighting effects enhance the action on screen.

EXPERIENCE AUREA Visitors to the site learn about the television by moving through an immersive and mysterious 3D environment, at the center of which is a floating Aurea. The 'Aurea effect' that you see during the film is not a simulation. It is re-created using the same technology that the real TV uses, except in Flash.

NON-LINEAR SYMPHONY The website was scored like a film and coincides with the interaction of the user, making this the first website to have an original non-linear score.
